An African Rebound
By Dan Doyle
To Be Published in Paperback

Skyhorse Publishing, publisher of An African Rebound by Dan Doyle, will publish the paperback version of the novel in January 2017.

Skyhorse editor Maxim Brown announced that, “Skyhorse Publishing is thrilled to be publishing the paperback edition of Dan Doyle’s An African Rebound in January 2017. This is a deep, thought-provoking novel of love, loss, civil unrest, and basketball, which NBA Hall of Famer Julius Erving called “a must-read” and will appeal not just to fans of the game of basketball but to all readers who enjoy an engaging story.”

A Four-Novel Series
An African Rebound is the first of a four-novel series which features protagonist Jim Keating's work in Burundi, Africa, where Coach Keating uses basketball as a means to bring the Hutu and Tutsi tribes together. The novel has received widespread acclaim from literary reviewers, and five-star ratings on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

·        “Doyle is living proof that an athletic and coaching background need not be an impediment to literary excellence.”  G. Lewis Heath, Sports Literature Association.
·        “Wonderfully crafted … Dan Doyle spins a tale of Africa while invoking memories of some of basketballs greatest players of all time, including Bill Russell, Bob Cousy and the Big O.”  Joe Mitch, Executive Director, US Basketball Writers Association.
·        “This book will inspire you, intrigue you, and move you in unexpected ways.  It is about basketball, about comebacks, about tragedy, about love, about overcoming adversity and about life.  Don’t miss it.”  Harlan Coben, best-selling author.

An African Rebound II
Mr. Doyle is on schedule to complete An African Rebound II in August 2016, with publication in 2017.   The four-novel series is part of a number of new assets Mr. Doyle has developed to benefit the Institute for International Sport, which he founded in 1986. A new Institute for International Sport website, now under construction, will detail the new assets, and the long range plan of the Institute, including the World Scholar-Athlete Games and African Scholar-Athlete Games
